Tom Jacob is an award-winning film composer and film-maker based in the South West of the UK.
Tom started film-making by way of making music videos for the band Mesadorm. Since then, Tom has worked with bands and artists such as Cosmo Sheldrake, Emily Barker, Maja Lena, Stevie Toddler, Pocket Sun, Mara Simpson & Dominie Hooper,
In 2023, Tom began working closely with fellow film-maker Narna Hue, and their collaboration is called Lemon Thief, specialising in music videos and live music videography.
His first feature length film 'Colour and Sound' is a surrealist on-the-road documentary about the band Mesadorm, and was premiered at Stroud Film Festival in 2019.
Tom completed his Masters in Composition for Film and Television at the University of Bristol in 2021 and has gone on to work closely with Stroud based film-maker Joe Magee, as well as winning awards for his scores and sound design, including Best Short Composer at the 2022 Arthouse Festival of Beverley Hills for his work on Gigi Burgdorf's 'The Plan'; as well as Best Sound Design at the RTS SW Student Awards for his work on Tom Cushing's 'Alan Ankles'.
As a recording artist/session musician, Tom has toured the world playing with such acts as Ardyn, Vaults and his own project, Dear Robot. Dear Robot is set to release their debut album in 2024.
